Ask an Expert

Ask an Expert is a feature that allows nurses and other pelvic health professionals to search a database of questions from their peers with answers from Diane Newman. If no question and answer is helpful in terms of their patient's situation, they can ask a question anonymously, submit it to Diane and receive her answer by email. Once the email is sent, the completed question and answer, stripped of its identifying characteristics, is placed in the database as a reference for others.

How to "Ask an Expert"

  1. Read our Disclaimer and click through the "I accept" button at the bottom of the page.
  2. Search for a previously answered question. You can see how many questions and answers are currently in the database and you can search by category, gender and age of the patient or by keyword.
  3. If you find no relevant questions/answers, then click the "ask a question" button.
  4. Tell us a bit about your patient (gender, date of birth, setting) and then write up your question for Diane. You will be able to indicate your preferences at the bottom, view and edit your question and then submit it.
  5. Diane will answer your question as soon as possible.
